P1656 LEXUS - OCV Circuit Malfunction Bank 1? What is an OCV?

asked Jul 19, 2011 by anonymous

1 Answer

OCV = Oil Control Valve. The OCV controls the camshaft timing, if you get a code for the OCV circuit, it means that the wire circuit from the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the Oil Control Valve (OCV) is open or shorted.
