will p0597 and p0598codes be fixed by replacing the thermostat?

I get error codes p0597 and p0598. They indicate an open heater circuit on the thermostat. Will replacing the thermostat take care of the problem? If not, what needs to be done?

Depends on the make and model. What make mode and year is your vehicle?

I have an '09 Chevy Aveo ST
For your 09 Aveo, the thermostat it's more than likely the cause of the P0597 and P0598 code. The heater part of the thermostat probably failed. For your Aveo the thermostat is part of the thermostat housing.
Thank you........that would have been my guess, but automotive is not my field...........thanks again!!
