The head gasket in my nissan wingroad got roasted. My mechanic did gasket overhaul but after that the engine turns over but does not start. Before changing the gasket i had noticed a problem with my speedometer(the stick was not moving). when i plug the diagnostic machine it says something like 'engine communication error'. I am frustrated and genuinely worried. different teams of car electricians have tried to locate where the power could be 'getting lost' without success. some times fuel is being injected into the engine, other times there is no fuel coming into the engine. There is not spark at the plugs!please help. thanks.

Vehicle: 2003,nissan, wingroad 1500cc

Have you checked fuel pressure? is there power going to the fuel pump?

there might be a wiring issue if sometimes there is fuel and sometimes there isn't.

Try moving the wiring harness around while someone is cranking the car (you may want to took up jumper cables so the battery will have full power)
