Hi , I have a p0500 dtc on my Dodge Ram 2001 .Should I assume that the speed-sensor is bad if I don't find any loose connections or other obvious problems? Or ,could this be pointing to some other problem in the transmission for instance?

Hi there,

Yes, it could be a faulty sensor if the wires are ok. Here is some more info for you.
