Truck sputters when taking off from dead stop, it is missing one cat. This is the only code the truck has. I don't want to start throwing parts on it and spend a fortune like I have in the past. I plan on changing the whole y-pipe next week. Will that cause the issue or is it something else?

P0430 Catalyst below efficiency Bank 2

If it is missing one of the catalytic this is probably the code for the missing cat. If the truck is sputtering from a dead stop you have a different problem this is usually a ignition related problem . If you restore with a new catalytic convertor and you still have the sputtering when taking off, you will just make replacing the catalytic convertor a hobby,  This type of engine are known for its cataltyic getting plugged and causing misfires.
