Check engine light came on as I was breaking to a stop at the end of a highway off ramp. Engine did not stall nor appear to miss (I've had these conditions before).. when I did the code check P0340 is the only code appearing. I recently replaced ignition module and cat converter. I suspect the battery may now be the culprit based on when it occurred. Any thoughts?

P0340 Camshaft position sensor circuit

Braking at a stop? Does it seem just a slight rough running condition?

When it comes to a Chrysler product such as the Neon , the PT cruiser, and there is a camshaft position sensor code, always check the sparkplug type,  Use the underhood sticker for the required sparkplug nothing else should be used, It always the Champion sparkplug that the engine requires
