P0020 - What does it mean on a 16-valve HDi engine (Peugeot 807)

This fault occurs on a 2003 Peugeot 807 with 2.0 litre HDi diesel engine, 75000 miles. Cambelt snapped, went through the nightmare of seized injectors, rebuilt engine. Starts first time but lacks power especially when cold, occasionally recovers and drives perfectly with good torque and bags of power between 2-3000 revs. Engine management light currently on, although it went off when engine recovered temporarily. Returns code P0020 (although this engine does not have variable valve timing (!!?*?). Do Peugeot assign this code to a different fault?

When I stripped it down the swirl control flaps had completely seized in the head with carbon with the result that the swirl diaphragm arm had snapped. All cleaned/repaired and working smoothly.

Had injectors professionally checked - ok.
Double/triple checked all vacuum hoses.
EGR valve blanked off - passed emissions on MOT.
Removed turbo with engine in situ, stripped down - all seemed ok.
Rudimentary check of turbo pressure - disconnected turbo hose to inlet with engine running - good pressure.

Running out of resilience and love for this engine! Come back 1.9 dt engine! If it weren\'t for the remote sliding side doors (best thing ever!) would have dumped it long ago.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Mike
