I have a 1999 nissan pathfinder it misfires underload at idle and will stall at times when pulling out also it lopes slightly if you keep the engine speed at a constant,i smell gas when i get out of the car but have no leaks, my garage has done a complete tune up still the same.recently it gave me p1448,p0440 codes, i checked the vent control valve it is open, what can i do next? help!!!

Hi there

These codes are a result of the vent control valve sticking open. This is also likely why you smell fuel. The vapors are going into the atmosphere instead of staying in the charcoal canister. As for the rough running, that's not being caused by these codes.
