The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module is on the Serial Communications Protocol (SCP) Communication network. The ABS module controls the brake pressure to the 4 wheels to keep the vehicle under Control while braking. The ABS module also controls the stability assist and traction Control systems (if equipped). If one of the BUS wires becomes shorted to ground or battery voltage, or if some but not all termination resistors are lost, communications can continue at a degraded level.
